Publishing Your Site
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Click Publish in the top bar (sign-in required):
- Pick a name. Your site lives at
https://<name>.plyy.dev— the picker checks availability as you type. The name is claimed to your account the first time you publish. - Publish. Plyy builds the project and uploads it. The button shows progress; when it’s done you get a View live link.
Publishing is atomic — visitors never see a half-updated site. Republishing replaces the whole site in one switch.
Update, roll back, take down
Section titled “Update, roll back, take down”Reopen the Publish popover on a published project:
- Republish after making changes — the new version is live in seconds.
- Rollback instantly restores the previous version (one step back).
- Unpublish takes the site offline; the name stays yours.
Preview branches
Section titled “Preview branches”Share a draft without touching your live site. On a published project, open
the Publish popover, type a name under Previews (say, staging), and hit
Publish preview — the current state of your project goes live at
https://<name>--staging.plyy.dev while production stays as it was.
- Each preview is its own URL; republish it by publishing the same preview name again.
- Previews are not indexed by search engines and carry a preview badge, so a client link never leaks into search results.
- Delete a preview from the same list when you’re done — production is untouched.
Previews are available on paid plans; how many each site can have depends on your plan.
